Playing OVERSTAY
- How do I play?
Put your left thumb anywhere on the left half of the screen — the stick appears where you touch it. Push it to the edge to run. The buttons on the right toggle your flashlight and open the exit door when you reach it.
- What am I supposed to do?
Find eight pages scattered through the floor, then find the door and open it. Every page you pick up makes the thing in the halls faster, so the last stretch is the hardest.
- Is the map always the same?
No. Every run generates a completely new floor — rooms, corridors, pillar halls, prop placement, where the pages are, and where the exit is.
- Does it need an internet connection?
No. The game is entirely offline. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, and no analytics.
- What does it run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 14 or later. It plays in landscape.
- The game is too dark / too quiet
That’s largely intentional, but it’s designed around headphones and a reasonably bright screen. If the flashlight seems to be off, tap the flashlight button on the right side of the screen.
- I'd like a refund
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them directly at reportaproblem.apple.com. I can’t process refunds myself, but do email me about the problem — it helps me fix it.

What OVERSTAY collects
Nothing. OVERSTAY has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs, and it never connects to the internet. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
